"The mat cats" Elementary wrestling

The Mat Cats will kick off practices on Mondays and Wednesday starting this November. 

We are looking forward to an exciting year with a great group of kids.

Practices will be Monday and Wednesday nights at the Palmyra High school from 5:30pm until 7:00pm for 3rd through 6th grade and 7:00pm until 8:00pm for K through 3rd grade.

Palmyra Area Wrestlers (P.A.W.) is founded on principles of solid citizenship, great physical & mental development, and high academic achievement.  Hard work, dedication to self & sport are paramount ideals instilled in each team member.  Ideals like these are the foundation of lofty achievement not only during high school but throughout each individual life.  P.A.W. Booster Club has fixed the standard for high school, middle school and elementary wrestling behavior grounded in sportsmanship; this tradition is acquired from the past, adhered to in the present, and dedicated to the future.

The P.A.W. Booster Club was formed as a means of support to our teams and promotion of Palmyra Wrestling ideals.  As parents of wrestlers we know and accept wrestling as more than just a sport, it is a way of life, a positive influence for our young adults with a set of values important to who we want them to be when they graduate and go into our world. 

In order to provide for the type of program needed we must spend some extra time to raise funds necessary to compete at a level that provides our children with maximum wrestling knowledge and proficiency. Continuous funds are needed for team travel, tournament registrations, equipment refurbishment and purchase.  Helping to provide these funds, Boosters staff-fund raising events such as local tournaments, sub sales etc., help generate dollars for the program.

This letter is a personal invitation to you asking you to get involved.  If everyone helps individual participation will be minimal, maybe a couple hours at a tournament or home dual meet, help driving to away trips or following up with the sponsor letters.  Please look over the attached paperwork, fill in your name where you have interest and return it.  If you are unable to give of your time we understand and we ask that you contribute financially or find an individual/corporate sponsor that is willing to make an annual contribution.  Additionally we are looking for folks that want to help with the club year round, if you would like to take a more active roll we want to hear from you too.
